Friday Firsts - Roll Success

Friday Firsts

Happy Friday everybody!

I have tried, and failed miserably, a few times at rolls. Try as I might, I just always end up with hard, dry blobs. This has been mighty discouraging, since I'm able to make pie crusts, quick breads, yeast breads, and pizza dough no problem.

Well, I'm proud to say that I had my first roll success! And, it was with a recipe I tweaked, no less! I made saffron rolls with dried cherries for the Marx Foods challenge. Voting will be open March 1st - 4th. I'll be linking to it on the blog and tweeting when it comes time to vote, I'd really appreciate your support!

If you haven't already, please stop by and give me some wedding shoe advice! I could use some 2nd opinions!

To participate in Friday Firsts create a blog post featuring a "first" of yours. Next, link that blog post below and tell us about it! If you don't have a blog or a specific post to link to please tell us about your first in the comment section! Any and all participation is welcome!

  5. I'm pretty impressed. I don't think I've ever used saffron in my cooking. Maybe that will have to be a first for me as well. Your rolls look quite yummy. Wish I was able to test them for you!

By the way, I love that you are going to wear green shoes for your wedding, and all of them are gorgeous. I've voted for my favourite!

I'm attempting artisan bread in 5 minutes right now - the loaf is in the oven! Can't wait to see how it works out!
