Friday Firsts - Professional Kitchen
Happy Friday everybody! Summer seems to be flying by here for me in North Carolina! I can't believe it's already at the end of July, can you?!
My first for this week was helping my brother in a professional kitchen! His prep day is Monday, and because I didn't have to work I helped him. First he went over his menu with me, we did some shopping, and then to the restaurant we went! I cut a few things for him and helped with simple tasks since he is doing everything without any additional kitchen staff to help.
The only condition he gave was that I take off my flip flops and put on shoes! He also got me an apron to wear so I felt more "official."
It was fun! His old boss was there too prepping for dinner service. They turned the radio on and we all worked and did our own thing. I couldn't see doing that everyday though! My feet hurt from all the standing and after a few hours it started to get HOT from the stoves and ovens!
Now it's your turn to tell me about your first! To participate in Friday Firsts create a blog post featuring a "first" of yours. Next, link that blog post below and tell us about it! If you don't have a blog or a specific post to link to please tell us about your first in the comment section! Any and all participation is welcome!
If you would like to display the Friday Firsts button as a badge in your post or on your side bar, you can copy and paste the following code:

ReplyDeleteMy Friday First was a Piano Duet Lawn Recital. It was awesome! So relaxed. Great to feel the breeze and watch nature, while enjoying my students performances.
