Friday Firsts - Cajeta

Friday Firsts

Happy Friday everybody! If this is your first Friday First please click the image above or on the side bar for more information.

My first this week is a Mexican treat called cajeta. Cajeta is like a dulce de leche, milk cooked down over a long period of time until it's a sweet syrup! It was the first time I ever tried making it and we had it over ice cream, which was the first time I'd ever eaten it!

To participate in Friday Firsts create a blog post featuring a "first" of yours. It could be the first time you've used your new blender or the first time eating an artichoke! Any culinary first will do! Next, link that blog post below and tell us about it!

If you don't have a blog or a specific post to link to please tell us about your first in the comment section! Any and all participation is welcome! Remember, this is a place to share the enthusiasm, adventures, and creativity that bonds us all through cooking and eating!

If you have linked up in the past you will notice a new form below. My wonderful web developer boyfriend, Johnny built it for me after we discovered Mr. Linky was eating some of your submissions! If your linkback never posted in past Friday Firsts I sincerely apologize. I had no way of monitoring what was or was not being posted!

Friday Firsts is relatively new, so please help me spread the word by linking back in your posts and telling your friends. I'd love to see more people join us every week! If you would like to display the Friday Firsts button as a badge on your sidebar or within your blog post, you can copy and paste the following code.

I'm glad you have a space that is all yours for antique or used finds - we all need a little space like that! Oh and your welcome on the rt. Have a great weekend!

Simply Life - I feel the SAME WAY! At first I was really nervous of having to come up w/ a first for myself every week. But these past three weeks have been a piece of cake! Each time I've had more than one new thing!
