Johnny gets something sweet, like the blueberry crepes, which is not my cup of tea. I'm much more of a savory breakfast person. I usually order a skillet that I can't find on their online menu.
It comes in a little bakeware dish and has their potatoes at the bottom, sauteed with peppers and onions. There's different meat choices and I usually get the one that has chunks of ham. Last, your choice of two eggs on top, and I think depending on what option you chose, cheese.
I decided to try and re-create something similiar at home. I was excited to use a new Pampered Chef oval stoneware dish I'd gotten brand new, still in the box for $3.99. It's not for sale on their site anymore, but similiar ones look to be about $28. I love thrift stores!

There's a restaurant in Raleigh called Courtney's that my mom and I would go to every once in a while for a big, hearty breakfast. They made something like this, served in a mini cast iron skillet. I think I always ordered "The Duke" and it had seasoned potatoes, onion, cheese, scrambled eggs and maybe something else. It was made sort of more like a frittata though. Something about potatoes and eggs for breakfast really makes me happy, haha.
I'm a savory breakfaster, too!
And just when I thought I would surprise you by showing up for dinner one day...now I wanna show up for breakfast too! ;-)
i wish things like eggs would make me love breakfast.. sadly though.. i only like CARBS for breakfast!! dang it!
